This has been one of “those” mornings. I got up, let the dog out, went to the bathroom, then went straight for the coffee pot, only to realize it had malfunctioned and coffee was everywhere! Coffee was over the counter, and grounds everywhere.
I started cleaning all that up, and in the process, I knocked a cup of tea that i had left sitting out from last night, off the counter! Now, not only did I have coffee and grounds everywhere, but there was tea all in the floor. At this point I realized I was completely out of paper towels, and there’s still no coffee in my system! Did I mention that I also slept late?
Things have finally settled down, and I’m proud to say, there were no cuss words used this morning! I now have coffee in hand, and have spent a little quiet time with Jesus. I know that even though I’ve had a bad start to my day, God has something good in store for me.
Today, I’m praying for those who don’t know that God has good things in store for them. For those who don’t have the security of hope for their future. I’m praying for those who don’t know who they are in Christ, and for those who live in fear and in the chains of addictions. I’m praying that eyes and hearts will be opened and that lives will be changed! I’m praying that God will open doors and make opportunities for me to play a part in changing someone’s life.
For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17
