Did you know, the devil loves nothing more than for a family to be torn apart? He loves when a spouse strays, or when kids get off track, causing parents to fight. He loves for couples to fight over money problems or when addictions wreak havoc within a family. He loves nothing more than for pornography to be brought into a home, causing insecurities and intimacy problems.
The world will tell you to move on, there’s other fish in the sea, the grass is greener on the other side. Usually, if the grass IS greener, it’s over a septic tank! You’re just trading your crap for different crap, because as long as you’re involved in a relationship, of any kind, there will be crap!
When the crap hits the fan, most of the time, we try our best to dodge what’s flying at us; but wouldn’t it be best to reach up and turn off the fan? In other words, when trouble starts, don’t try to avoid it, try to find a solution! When the crap hits the fan, the last thing you want to do is turn your back. It’s hard to get turd off your back. I’m just sayin’.
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of seeing the devil win! We, as Christians, have got to fight for our families. You might want to give up on your spouse, or your child, but don’t give up on God! He loves to restore relationships! If we’re concentrating on God, and His will, and trying to do the next right thing no matter what the people around us are doing; can’t we trust God to handle things? Who are we to try and fix another person; to take matters into our own hands and try and take the place of the Holy Spirit? Do we know better than God? I’m so guilty of this!
I don’t know about you, but I refuse to give up! I’m going to fight like crazy for my family! And not just mine, but I’m going to pray for other families, and speak truth and life over them as well. And when the crap hits the fan, I won’t be scared of getting dirty! I’ll fight through the mess and turn off the fan!
Let’s put on our spiritual armor and fight for our families! Let’s stop letting the devil, the world and our flesh destroy what God has brought together! And when the crap hits the fan, don’t be scared of getting a little dirty! A little crap never hurt anybody! Fight through the mess and turn off the fan!
For though we walk in the world, we do not fight according to this world’s rules of warfare. The weapons of the war we’re fighting are not of this world but are powered by God and effective at tearing down the strongholds erected against His truth. We are demolishing arguments and ideas, every high-and-mighty philosophy that pits itself against the knowledge of the one true God. We are taking prisoners of every thought, every emotion, and subduing them into obedience to the Anointed One. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
This is how we fight
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17
