My heart is heavy this morning. There’s so much stuff going on in this world! Hear me out, I’m not one of those gloom and doom people. I know that God is still alive and well, and that He is still working for the good. It’s just that every time I turn around I’m hearing of people struggling with something. Money problems, sickness, addictions, sexual sins, oppression, depression, chronic pain. You name it, someone’s struggling with it.
My opinion is that Christians need to wake up! The enemy is working overtime because he knows, that every day that goes by, his time is running out. We know that too! Yet, we sit idly by and, pretty much, just watch people go straight to hell.
I know, I personally, don’t tell enough people about Jesus, and what He’s done for me. Oh, it’s easy to talk to other Christians about Him, but what about the stranger in Walmart who is obviously struggling with life in general? Often times, we can look at people and tell they’re suffering, yet we walk on by, as if each person doesn’t matter. God loves everyone the same. Even the ones who aren’t necessarily desirable to us!
I’ve said all this before, but it bears repeating. We should be so sad at the thought of any person dying and spending eternity in hell, but the truth of the matter is, apparently it doesn’t bother us that bad; otherwise we would want to share God’s goodness with everyone!
Maybe we’re afraid of looking fanatical, or weird. I’m thinking, at this point, maybe we shouldn’t care! People’s souls are so much more important than our reputations.
Our desire should be to look weird to the world. We should desire boldness. We should want to stand out in a crowd, not to draw attention to ourselves, but to draw attention to Christ. Our desire should be that, when people watch our lives, they want what we have!
My prayer is that God gives His people a spirit of boldness that spreads like wildfires! That a revival takes place and that lives are changed, and lost and dying souls are saved! I pray that we don’t sit idly by and watch people go to hell.
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31
Let’s shake our churches, our communities, and our homes with prayers and praises and speak God’s word with boldness!
