So, here we are 10,000 feet in the air! On our way to Mexico! This will be our first time out of the country, and our first mission trip. We’re nervous and excited!
The best part about this journey, so far, is the great group of folks with whom we get to hang out. Even though there are some I don’t know well, I know that we all have one thing in common; we love The Lord.
Some have been here and done this many times, and are very wise. That is a big help to newbies such as ourselves.
Already I have learned so much! For instance, I learned that nicotine can leave stains in some men’s underwear. At least that’s what Mr. Johnny said. Who knew nicotine would do that? I also learned that you can’t shout “shotgun!” When you want the front seat of an airplane. That doesn’t work, in the air, the same as it does on land.
See, we haven’t even arrived in Mexico and already I’m much wiser. I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us this week! I know that we will be humbled and blessed beyond belief! What an honor to share Jesus with the world!
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! Isaiah 52:7
