Here’s a fact that might surprise you…men like to look at women’s breasts! Yep. That’s a fact Jack. It doesn’t matter who it is, or where they are; men love boobies! Big, small, red, yellow, black or white, they are precious in their sight. I’ll have to admit, there are some sights that even women (yes, straight women) can’t help but notice.
Now, all that being said, I’m not a man, and I won’t pretend to know exactly how a man thinks, but there are a few things of which I’m sure. 1) Men are visual creatures. 2) Men notice pretty women. 3) God created man in His image. 4) Because of #3 men are able, and well equipped, not to lust over women. 5) When men are busted zooming in on a woman’s very large exposed breasts, they scatter like roaches when the lights are turned on. I happen to know this to be true because I witnessed it firsthand. I’ll not mention names because I’m super nice, and awesomely cool like that.
While in Mexico, during a medical clinic, one very voluptuous woman walks in with a shirt on that barely covered her lady lumps. If she weren’t already brown, I bet you could’ve seen brown, if you know what I mean. You’d thought Santa had slid down the chimney with choo choo trains and shiny new bicycles. The guys all but floated in her direction, grinning like 13 year olds who’d not yet had the pleasure of seeing such a sight. Again, I understand the fact that they noticed; Ray Charles could’ve seen that! But geez! Simmer down guys! They’re just boobs! Zooming in and giggling isn’t necessary. I’m just saying.
Women remember this. Men look! They notice when you’re trying to show off your body parts. If you’re trying to show them off, (and don’t act like you don’t know when you’re calling attention to yourself) then don’t complain, or act surprised when men are drooling like a teething baby.
If we, as women, are honest we’ve all been guilty. God created women to be beautiful and pleasing to men; but I don’t think He intended for us to be THAT pleasing to ALL men! I’m pretty sure He meant for us to show those things we cover to one man. I’m speaking in hindsight here so don’t think I’m being judgmental. I’ve been known (different time, different body) to “hooch it up” myself. I just know now, that we should value ourselves enough not to have to get attention in those sort of ways. I also know that mature, Christian men should value women, and most importantly value God enough to turn away when faced with a woman who isn’t yet spiritually mature enough to see herself the way God does.
This goes for men and women alike; if we look at people through God’s eyes, it’s a whole lot harder to see them in lustful ways.
Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. 1 Peter 3:4
Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love, and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts. 2 Timothy 2:22
