This weekend was a celebration of love and life. Steve and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary! Eleven great years and counting! We also celebrated my niece, Ivy’s 13th birthday. It’s hard to believe my youngest niece is already that old! Why does everyone but me seem to be aging?! 😉
On our anniversary, we decided to go see the movie God’s Not Dead. Most people know that I HATE going to the movies. I don’t like sitting in the dark. I don’t like the fact that you can’t push pause and take a break to pee or get a snack. I don’t like that you have to be quiet. And it chaps my hide that they charge so much for snacks and drinks! However, I do want to support Christian movies, so I’m willing to sacrifice a few my weird hang ups. I’m thankful that there are people out there willing to make movies that you can take your family to, and who boldly speak the name of Jesus.
I left the theater fired up! I want to do ALL that God has for me to do! I want to share Him and His love with others! I want to shake up this crazy, jacked up world we live in and see lost people saved!
As believers shouldn’t that be our goal? Shouldn’t the most important thing in our lives be to see lost people saved? Shouldn’t we be living with a purpose? No matter what our daily tasks are, shouldn’t we do everything as if doing them for The Lord? Shouldn’t we be bold for the Man who died so that we could live?
Our God’s not dead! He’s alive and well and wants to see His people thrive! Ask Him what it is He wants you to do, then be brave enough to do it! Let’s shake things up! Let’s show God that this world is worth saving! Let’s show people that God’s way is worth giving up anything this world could ever offer! Who’s with me?! And if you haven’t seen the movie, GO!
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14. What is God calling you to do? There’s no better time than this! DO IT!
