Freedom. It’s something we all need, want, and expect; but is it something we really understand? In a worldly aspect, more and more every day, we sit back and watch our freedom slowly being stripped away; and at what cost? The promise of being “taken care” of? If you remotely believe the government will take care of you, I’ve got some oceanfront property in Springville Alabama I’ll sell you.

Largely, we are a society who wants something for nothing. Wimpy. Unappreciative. Lazy. Talk to a few of the people who’ve fought for our freedom! They’re not wimpy, lazy or unappreciative. They know freedom isn’t free. Someone pays the price. I’m so thankful that, because of those people, we get to live in a free country.

The thing is, no matter what goes on in our country, as Christians, we have freedom in Christ. That freedom isn’t free either. Our Savior paid the ultimate price so that we could live in freedom! Not bound by sin and shame! Not bound by fear! Not bound by what this world has to offer! Not bound by condemnation or regret, but free to live set apart, in Christ! If our worldly rights, to worship Jesus, were to be stripped away? We are free to worship Him in our hearts!

In Christ we are fearless! Let’s not let our past, some mistake, our pride, unforgiveness, or anything of this world, or our flesh keep us from experiencing the full freedom Christ has to offer! Let’s choose to live fearless in freedom!

“Every man dies. Not every man really lives.” William Wallace. Are you REALLY living? Are you experiencing all that Christ has to offer? Are you living fearlessly in freedom? If not? Ask God how, He’ll tell you!

2 Timothy 1:7
