Speaking Unapologetic Gospel. Actions Might Not Always Match :-/ (Dang you flesh!)

First off, I’m very thankful God’s given me this platform to speak of Him in almost sixty different countries this year! How amazing is that?! God is SO good! I never want to misuse this platform He’s so graciously given me. My intentions are to only write of the things He tells me. My hope is to be unapologetic about speaking the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However, I’m human, and there may be times when I mess up.

It seems that a couple of my recent blogs stirred up some dust. (I came close to using the word dissension, but that’s not true, at least not to me and the ones I’m closest to) I’m good with the stirring up of dust. If I weren’t ruffling a few feathers, I probably wouldn’t be doing what God was requiring of me! I’m also completely ok with people disagreeing with me, so long as they do so without hurling insults. I don’t mind open discussions on my blog, so long as you can state your beliefs without telling another person they’re wrong for believing differently. We can disagree with another person’s opinion about certain facts, but we have no right to say theirs is wrong. Opinions aren’t necessarily right or wrong; they’re simply opinions. Now, if someone is speaking out against Christ? We, Christians that is, had better be speaking up for Him! The Truth of Christ, what the bible says, is true! No matter how a person may feel.

I’ve never been on any sort of debate team, nor have I ever desired to do so. My desire is to speak the truth, in love, to the people I encounter. Often, that’s where I mess up; the “speaking the truth in love” part. That being said, if anything I said to anyone, the last couple of days, was not said in love, (and shamefully, I admit there were a couple of things I said out of pride) then I sincerely apologize. I’ve asked Jesus to forgive me, and I hope that if I’ve insulted anyone in any way, they’ll forgive me too.

However, I won’t apologize for writing about anything God asks of me, even if doing so might make people angry. It’s the way I handle the anger, or negative comments directed at me that matters. “Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry”. James 1:19 I have to be reminded of this way too often.

Satan loves nothing more than to cause division among God’s people, which seems to be happening more and more these days. There’s always been differences in opinions concerning politics and religion, I realize that; however, I feel there is a stirring among God’s people! God’s trying to awaken us from the spiritual slumber in which The Church has been. We’ve sat back and allowed God’s word to be watered down in the name of tolerance. We’ve sat back and held our tongues in fear of ridicule. Many of us have buried our heads in the sand for far too long concerning the world around us, and the things taking place right under our noses! I’ve said this before, I, seriously, don’t know any family who’s not under some sort of attack. And here’s why I believe there’s so many attacks. Keep reading 🙂.

I hear a rumbling! A stirring. A call to action to God’s people! And when that starts happening, you can expect attack! Our job, as brothers and sisters in Christ, is to stand united! This battle has been won! We can’t allow the enemy to back us into the corner and live defeated! We can’t allow division among God’s people! That’s exactly what makes satan the happiest! I’m not having that! I refuse to allow defeat!

We may not always agree, and that’s ok! As far as I know, we’re not required to all have the same opinions; that is except that Jesus is THE way! That He was born of a virgin, came to the earth, in human form, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day! We are, however, required to love each other, and keep peace, even when we don’t agree. I have work to do in that area of my life, and probably always will; but I’m willing to work on it, because the body of Christ has work to do, and we need each other to accomplish His will! Again, if what He requires of us could possibly make someone mad, I hope we will still trust Him enough to do anything He asks of us! God’s calling His people to be bold! I sometimes struggle with that because I don’t like confrontation. I have a feeling, we, as Christians, had better get used to it! We need to be prepared to stand firm on God’s word and the promises He’s made! Remember, WE WIN!!

Since you have been chosen by God who has given you this new kind of life, and because of his deep love and concern for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others. Don’t worry about making a good impression on them, but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently. Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Most of all, let love guide your life, for then the whole church will stay together in perfect harmony. 15 Let the peace of heart that comes from Christ be always present in your hearts and lives, for this is your responsibility and privilege as members of his body. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:12-15
