Yep! ⬆️It’s true⬆️! And you’d think some prodigal people would realize this after a gazillion, unsuccessful attempts of living by their own rules. SMH.
I get frustrated, mad, sad, and every other negative emotion you can think of, when dealing with those people. Then I started thinking about my own sin, and how badly I must annoy my Heavenly Father! I bet, if only for a brief moment, I were able to see things through His eyes, I’d find that, much of the time, I’m no better off than any of those people!
The good, the bad, and the ugly is that God sees us all the same. From the preacher to the junkie, or the Sunday school teacher to the hooker. He loves us all the same! And no matter how small we think our sins are, in comparison to those people we feel are “beneath us” (spiritually speaking), they’re not? God hates all sin! Sin is sin.
I ask that y’all pray for me to, (even with my own “those people“) remember that no matter how much further (I think) I may be in my faith walk, my sin is no less than theirs! No matter how much more I read my bible or go to church than they might, when I sin, God hates it just as much. Maybe even more because I am more spiritually mature! Pray that my words and actions always prompt, even my closest kin, to want to be more like Jesus and not provoke anger; and I’ll pray the same for y’all! And let’s pray that God continues to wreck the plans that are wrecking those we love!
But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required. Like 12:48
