Today I just wanted to take a minute to show off some of the work my BFF Lajuana has been doing. I have to say she’s amazingly talented!
I know what y’all are thinking! Y’all think that because we’ve been friends since we were kids, and are BFFs, that I could be a tad biased. And you’re dang right! However, she really is very talented!
I’ve been telling her for some time that she was neglecting her talent. (Plus, I had an ulterior motive!) I guess she finally realized how right I was and decided to heed my warning of “If you don’t use it you lose it.” As our son says, “If people would just listen to me life would be a lot easier!” 🙂 that being said, I’m finally going to unveil her latest work!
Lajuana has decided to start doing tattoos! She’s willing to work on anyone free of charge for the first month! Just email me your info and a picture or drawing of the tattoo you’d like her to do. Ok, ok. I’m seriously joking! For real, after years of not lifting a finger toward her talent, this is what she does!!
OMGosh! Now do y’all see why I’m bragging?! The sunrise painting is the view from the house we bought. That’s what we’ll be looking at from the screened in porch off our bedroom! That one’s MINE!! Thus the ulterior motive! My friend’s a regular Vincent Van Gogh! With the exception of some major body parts :-).
Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy my friend’s talent as much as I do! Also, I want to remind y’all that I’d love to post you as a guest blogger or brag on your talent! I promise, if you’re the modest type, to either not mention your name, and/or to give God all the glory! However you’d like me to handle it. The point is, if God’s given talents to use, then not using them is a sin! IJS. You don’t want to be sinning do you?! 🙂
1 Peter 4: 7-11 Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!
