What’s Up Spawn Of Satan (aka Kitty Cat)? Whoa Whoa Whoa!

Today I have a guest blogger for y’all to enjoy! You’d be wise to listen to her because she’s pretty darn smart! Which clearly is evident because she’s my BFF! 🙂 hope y’all have a great weekend!
The other day I was in our spare bedroom. I usually try and keep the door closed because we try to keep our cats contained to certain areas of the house. If you have a cat you know why! I think they are of the devil! They get into, and destroy everything! But I love ’em!
But anyway, for some reason this day, when I came out, I didn’t close the bedroom door. Cats know exactly what you do not want them to do and that is the first thing they do! Again, cats are the spawn of satan. So needless to say the cat runs into the bedroom and would not come out. I called knowing, as I was calling, that I was crazy for even trying. And then, a lightbulb came on! I had a great idea!
Our cat’s favorite thing to play with right now is a string. He takes the string and holds it in his mouth and drags it around the house. Why? I’m not really sure…but anyway,

I get the string and coax the cat out of the bedroom. SCORE!! Hook line and sinker!! The cat is out of the bedroom and I get to finish getting ready without worrying about what the cat is demolishing!

I was thinking, just as I know my cats weakness, don’t you know the enemy knows ours? He knows that one thing, beyond all others, we just can’t resist. And just like my cat’s weaknesses may change, what tempts us also changes throughout our lives! But what else does the enemy have to do but try one thing after another until he has us “hook, line and sinker”?!? He dangles the temptation right there until we can’t seem to resist! But God’s word say different!
1 Peter 5:8-9 says “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 also says, “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
The devil looks around to see who he might find struggling, or having a weak moment in their walk. He searches for those who might be putting themselves in dangerous situations that might cause them to fall. He doesn’t care who you are as long as he can coax you by his trickery. But remember you have (or can have) a family of believers!! Stand firm! God is always going to give you a way out!! Don’t fall for the devil’s tricks because he came to steal, kill, and destroy, but that isn’t what God has for you! God came to give you life, not an ordinary life, but an abundant life!! Hang on! Stand firm in your faith, and know you have others who are right there with you!!

God wants us to have a church family for a reason. He doesn’t tell us to join together because He wants to make us go to church. He wants us to have a church family to help us when we struggle! He wants us to be part of a church family so that we can reach  out to others, who aren’t in the family, when they are struggling, so that they might want to join us! Remember, WE CAN’T DO LIFE ALONE!!
If you don’t have a church family, find one. If you’re in the Springville, AL area, there is one that loves Jesus and would love you too!! ONEeighty Church ( www.oechurch.org ) would love a chance to love on you!! We give lots of hugs! And coffee and donuts!
