Sleepless In Springville

Hey y’all! First off I want to say that, during the summer, I might not write every day. I have quite a few projects going on, so I hope to be very busy! Plus, I know most of you will be busy with summer activities as well, so maybe y’all won’t miss me too bad ;-).  I can’t wait to share some of my projects with you later! I’m excited! That being said, on with today’s blog!

I woke up this morning, around 2a.m., in a panic. I was thinking about what had happened to Tucker. It’s a horrible feeling to think anyone could be so callous, especially to someone you love. I had come to the conclusion that we would never know exactly what happened that night. There were many witnesses, but only one willing to say anything. The integrity of a lot of our young people today is pathetic. Y’all, we (society, Christians) had better start doing a better job teaching our kids to stand for what’s right! I can’t say this enough… we’ve become way too passive, and way too scared of getting in trouble. Anyway, as my mind raced with images of my son being assaulted, knocked unconcious, not even knowing what had hit him, lying lifeless on the ground, being repeatedly kicked, wondering if the truth would ever be revealed, I rembered something someone had told me about Tucker’s ASSailant. Emphasis mine. Ok, I realize emphasizing the word ass isn’t nice! It’s funny though and I just couldn’t resist!

Funny how God places just the right people, with good information, at just the right time, in our lives! See, a doctor told me that it would be impossible for only a fist to cause the extent of damage Tucker had sustained; which is what the assailant says happened. The assailant claims he punched him once, with only his fist. Think about this y’all! MMA fighters get hit with fists, upside the head, all the time! Hard! Has anyone ever seen one of them leave with multiple scull fractures and three brain bleeds from a punch with a fist?! Here’s the deal though, the God I serve is a God of truth, and before this is all said and done, I feel as if truth will be revealed!

So here’s my prayer. I pray that truth be revealed. I pray that justice be served. I pray that lives be brought to Jesus. I pray that those who were witnesses, and may come to know Jesus, become burdened with an overwhelming desire to tell the truth! I pray that God will get all the glory for all He’s done, and will do through this ordeal! Who’s praying with me? Thanks in advance! I also need y’all to know that I don’t just sit and dwell on all this, but when you’re awakened in the middle of the night the way I was, God just might be trying to tell you something! I’ve learned to listen and pray! God is good! Even in the midst of storms He never forsakes us!!! He is our healer! I expect complete healing!

“For I, the Lord, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them. Isaiah 61:8

When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. Proverbs 21:15
