God VS The Government. Who’s YOUR Judge?

God loves everyone! He loves Saddam Hussein, Jeffrey Dahmer, Justin Beiber, and the writers of South Park. He loves rapists, liars, theives, drunkards, adulterers, homosexuals, junkies, and straight people. He also loves straight people who indulge in sexual sin! He even loves child molesters who, by the way, typically claim to be straight. For that I say “Thank you child molesters!” *Dripping with sarcasm*. Moving on!  Dare I say,  He even loves Jimmy Carter, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barrak and Michelle Obama, and Bill Maher!! Ok, so I was being a little funny with that last sentence. My point is, yes, God does love everyone, but this fact remains….God most definitely, absolutely, unequivocally, flat out, no holds barred, no ifs, ands, or buts, HATES SIN!

Kyle Butt, a writer for Apologetics Press, states, “Most religious people agree that God hates sin. Over and over, the Bible stresses the fact that God despises iniquity. God told the prophet Jeremiah to speak to the Israelites about their sin, saying: “Oh, do not do this abominable thing that I hate!” (44:4). The Proverbs writer listed seven sins the Lord hates (6:16-19). The prophet Zechariah declared that God hates a false oath and evil done to one’s neighbor (8:17). Jesus Himself said that He hated the deeds of the Nicolaitans (Revelation 2:6). The Bible emphasizes that the Lord hates sin.”

Now, I’m no bible scholar, but it would seem to me that God’s hate isn’t like our earthly, fleshly hate. I know that if I hate someone, I really hate them! I can’t say that I’ve hated many people, but still, when I hate someone I don’t want to see them, I don’t want to hear their names, I don’t want to pray for them, and I don’t want to pee on them should they catch fire! Now, it would appear to me that God doesn’t hate like me. God most definitely punishes sin, but unlike me, God will pee on you if you’re on fire, so to speak. No matter how bad a person is, God will always save them should they ask!

In our world today there are so many things to distract us and get us down. I’ve said this before, but one of the most annoying things, to me, is when I hear Christians moaning and groaning about how they wish Jesus would hurry up and come back because this world is so bad! It’s one thing to look forward to His return, but it’s another to be miserable here in the land of the living! You can not do what God requires if you’re miserable! Anyway, back to the subject at hand, it’s my belief that all the things people are arguing about, the rebel flag, the transgender Kardasian, and gay marriage, are all just distractions that keep Christians from doing what they should be doing…..winning souls for Christ! I like what T. D. Jakes said (not that I’m a big fan), “The world is gonna be the world, and the church is gonna be the church. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.” He also said, “The Supreme Court makes its decisions based on the constitution, debating the constitutionality of any particular issue, however, God judges you by His Word!” People, no matter what, God’s word is still ultimately all that matters! Period. Point blank.

Stop arguing. Stop the division. It’s not doing anyone, or any cause any good. Start witnessing. Start living the way God would have you live. Start doing what you’re required to do as a Christian, and pray! Naturally the enemy loves to see us squabbling over things!! It distracts us from what’s important!! Naturally the enemy would want us feeling outnumbered and defeated, it distracts us from what’s really important! The fact of the matter is we’re not outnumbered, and just in case you’ve forgotten, we’re certainly not defeated!!!! We really need to stop acting as such! God is in control!

For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1Peter 4:17
