Well, That Trumps That!

As election time approaches I pray that God’s mercy is abundant on our nation. I pray that God’s wrath falls on anyone who seeks to destroy us. For those of you who think I’m mean for praying that, all I have to say is sorry, not sorry. I, personally have no problem, whatsoever, praying for God to destroy our enemies. Our God is not a passive god! Not at all! Our God loves justice and hates sin. Our God, THE GOD, indeed does love the evil Muslim who killed those Marines, and so should we, however, if you read your bible you’ll see that God has no problem killing enemies! And He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever! And, not only that, I don’t believe for one minute that God wants us to sit back and allow those who hate us to destroy us. Nor does He want us to be so worried about hurting their feelings, or being politically correct where they’re concerned. We should certainly pray for their souls! But sitting by and allowing them to destroy us and/or take us over is utterly ridiculous. I mean, if someone broke into your house, tried to take your belongings, and was threatening the lives of your family would you A) tell them you’ll be their best friend if they stop all the nonsense, B) call 911 and try to talk them out of raping or killing your wife, son or daughter, or C) pull out the gun (that, for now, you can still legally own) and defend your loved ones, then call 911 and tell them to send a hurst (said in my best Carl from Slingblade voice)! I pick C!!  All that being said, the thought of Donald Trump being our president doesn’t bother me at all!

There are some of you who won’t agree with me, and that’s ok. And yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what he said about McCain. I don’t agree with him on that, but I’m not kicking him to the curb because of one remark. I don’t have to agree with everything he says, and there’s not a person alive with whom I would! However, I do appreciate that he’s got the guts to not worry about offending those who hate us and our country, or those who take advantage of our hospitality. I love that he doesn’t use a TelePromter, and says he never will. I love that he doesn’t mind telling ignorant, trouble making reporters that they’re just that. “He’s filed bankruptcy several times!” you say. So?! Many successful people have! You’re getting nowhere if you don’t take risks. His views are conservative. He’s not a politician. He’s a successful businessman. I think he and Ben Carson should team up! They would definitely even each other out. Me. Carson says many of the same things he’s just a tad more tactful. Ben Carson for president has a nice ring to it as well, I must say!

Look, I’m not saying that Trump has my vote (yet). All I’m saying is, we NEED a leader!! We need someone who’s not worried about being chums with people, especially our enemies! We need someone who truly loves this country. We need a leader who doesn’t want the people dependent on the government. We need a leader that other leaders respect! Here’s a nugget of wisdom for y’all. When you make a deal with an enemy they’ll love you to your face; but the minute your back is turned, the knife goes deep! And if you think that just because an enemy breaks bread with you, and treats you as a friend that they respect you, I’ve got more news for you…. No one, and I mean no one respects a leader who doesn’t do what’s best for his people. They’ll use him and chill with him, but they sure as heck won’t respect him!! That’s true for any leader, not just the leader of this great (but used to be even more great) country.

Ok, I hope y’all have a great day! I hope you’ll be in prayer about who to vote for, and if you don’t vote, don’t complain!

The wisdom of the wise wins praise but there is no respect for the stupid. Proverbs 12:8

Doing what is right makes a nation great, but sin will bring disgrace to any people. Proverbs 14:34

Kings hate those who do wrong; because governments only continue if they are fair. Proverbs 16:12

The Lord makes everything go as he pleases. He has even prepared a day of disaster for evil people. Proverbs 16:4
