Give Me Wisdom Or Give Me Food!

There are things in this world that boggle my mind. Before I share those things with you, I feel the need to tell you that I know the reason these things are so baffling to me is purely spiritual. I mean, outside of God revealing things to me, it would be impossible for me to see this stuff! Most of my life I’ve been so inundated by all the junk this world has to offer, that’s until I learned to listen to The Holy Spirit, clearly I had not eyes to see, nor ears to hear real truth. Without God I’m so dumb! Thank You Lord for opening the eyes, and ears, of this once ignorant child of Yours!

I heard one of the talk radio hosts, I think it was Glen Beck, say something to the effect of, “America, as a whole, is so stupid they won’t vote for the candidate they think is best because media has told them they’re unelectable.” That, my friends was an eye opener! I had definitely fallen victim to that manipulative tactic. How scary is that?! Y’all, we, as Christian, American citizens, have got to realize that everything that happens has a spiritual element! There IS a bigger picture! Forget big boy, and girl panties! We need to put on our God panties, so to speak, and do everything, even vote, with Godfidence, according to HIS will! Even if the (mostly liberal) media is saying the candidate you like isn’t electable! We’ve got to stop listening to the media and start seeking God!

Something else that baffles me is why (it would appear that) things like patience and wisdom are wasted on older folks. I mean, why is it that we don’t figure out certain things until we’re older?! Like, how to have a good marriage, the true value of friendships, that people’s opinions of us don’t matter, or that there’s an agenda behind common core?! And that’s only naming a few. I’ve asked God, on more than one occasion, why He didn’t give us wisdom when we’re younger. He was quick to tell me, although I was slow to listen, that wisdom isn’t wasted on the older people! Anyone, at any age, can have, wisdom! How is that possible you ask? Because wisdom comes from God, and from having a real, and personal relationship with our Lord and Savior! And that, my friends, is available to anyone, at any age! And even if you’re one of those hard headed people like me, and you waited, or are waiting, until you’re older to get to know Jesus, it’s never too late, and it’s never a waste! And just for the record, most of us have to ask for wisdom over and over!

It pains me to watch those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus. I mean, we all struggle, but the struggle is so much easier when you know that, no matter what happens,  God has everything under control! Which, by the way, is the epitome of wisdom! Even if that thing we fear the most were to happen, God works all things together for the good of those who love Him! If you know Jesus, you don’t have to live in fear of anything! Not lack of money, failing health, straying children, having a roof over your head…..nothing! Yes, things could get bad! Here’s the deal though, God always provides what we need! All of us have way more than we need! And even if something were to happen and we didn’t?! Even if we were to die of starvation, God forbid *shudder*, we’d die knowing we were going to a place where we’ll never die, let alone be hungry! Dang! Here I am talking about not living in fear, and trusting God, but I gotta tell y’all…..the thought of starving to death scares me!!!! Whew! 🙂

Please y’all, pay close attention to the things that are going on in our world. Seek God for what to do, and then do it! Stop listening to the media for direction! Hide God’s word in your hearts because one day you just might need it, and you might not have access to a bible! Don’t have the mindset that this world is too far gone for God to move!! The media loves nothing more than to promote fear and hate! There are still good people, red and yellow black and white, and there are still good things happening contrary to what we see on the news! Think what you will of me, but don’t think for one minute that most of the media, conservative or liberal, are (unbeknownst to some of them perhaps) part of the bigger picture, and they’re not a pretty part! Keep up with current events but, while you’re watching the news, pray and ask God to give you wisdom to see, and hear truth! And if any of you call me a conspiracy theorist you’d be wrong! I’m a truth theorist!

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 1 Timothy 2: 1-7
