Y’all, I saw the most disturbing thing on Rick and Bubba, a radio talk show that airs on The Heartland. If you have that channel check them out! If you don’t have that channel you can listen to them pretty much anywhere. Good, conservative, christian morning show. And it’s not boring! Anyway, they showed a video of what was called an alternative women’s choir, singing a gospel hymn. All well and good you may think, but not so much. What these ladies did was remove Jesus’ name from this hymn and replace it with Hillary. Yes. Hillary Clinton. Keep in mind they didn’t change any of the other words to the song. Words like hallelujah.
hal·le·lu·jah ˌhaləˈlo͞oyə/ exclamation 1. God be praised (uttered in worship or as an expression of rejoicing). “He is risen! Alleluia!”
When you look at the meaning of the word hallelujah, then think about what these ladies were singing?! I gotta tell ya, that’s pretty scary! It’s scary that’s there’s even one person in the world who remotely thinks Hillary Clinton would make a good president; but it’s a whole other level of scary for a group of people to call her God! WHAT THE…?!? Here’s a verse of the song they sang.
Well, woke up this mo’nin with my mind, stayin’ on Hillary. Woke up this mo’nin with my mind, stayin’ on Hillary. Well, woke up this mo’nin with my mind, stayin’ on Hillary. Halleluh, halleleluh, halleleluh!
Well, singin’ an prayin’ with my mind stayin’ on, Hillary. Singin’ and playin’ with my mind stayin’ on Hillary. Singin’ an prayin’ with my mind stayin’ on, Hillary. Halleluh, halleluh, halleluh!
Ok, if that’s not at least a tad disturbing to you?? You might want to do some soul searching. And quick! We should be praying for these women as if there was no tomorrow! How sad that there are people out there who would sing this. Oh, and they weren’t just singing! No! They were joyfully singing! Even if I thought Hillary was the best person for the job, which clearly I don’t, you’d never catch me singing something like that! Shoot! I wouldn’t even put Billy Graham, or Ronald Reagan’s name in that song, or any other praise song for that matter!
All I can say is let’s pray for our country. Pray that blinded eyes are opened. Pray for people to seek the Lord. Pray for a great revival! Pray for God’s grace and mercy. And, for love, let’s plead with God and ask Him if He’d please NOT destroy our nation if He can find 50, or 45, or 40, or 30, or 20, or even 10 decent people! Hey, it worked for Abraham! And I don’t suppose it would hurt to specifically ask him to look in the south! 🙂 Jk (sorta)
Y’all have a great day and keep Jesus in your songs! Love y’all!!
Then the Lord said, “I have heard many complaints against the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. They are very evil. I will go down and see if they are as bad as I have heard. If not, I will know.” So the men turned and went toward Sodom, but Abraham stood there before the Lord. Then Abraham approached him and asked, “Do you plan to destroy the good people along with the evil ones? What if there are fifty good people in that city? Will you still destroy it? Surely you will save the city for the fifty good people living there. Surely you will not destroy the good people along with the evil ones; then they would be treated the same. You are the judge of all the earth. Won’t you do what is right?” The Lord said, “If I find fifty good people in the city of Sodom, I will save the whole city because of them?” Then Abraham said, “Though I am only dust and ashes, I have been brave to speak to the Lord. What if there are only forty-five good people in the city? Will you destroy the whole city for the lack of five good people?” The Lord said, “If I find forty-five there, I will not destroy the city.” Again Abraham said to him, “If you find only forty good people there, will you destroy the city?” The Lord said, “If I find forty, I will not destroy it.” Then Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me, but let me ask you this. If you find only thirty good people in the city, will you destroy it?” He said, “If I find thirty good people there, I will not destroy the city.” Then Abraham said, “I have been brave to speak to the Lord. But what if there are twenty good people in the city?” He answered, “If I find twenty there, I will not destroy the city.” Then Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me, but let me bother you this one last time. What if you find ten there?” He said, “If I find ten there, I will not destroy it.” When the Lord finished speaking to Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home. Genesis 18: 20-33
