Wake Up! Pay Attention! And Grow A Pair!

Good morning! When y’all read this blog please, hear my heart. This may not be an easy read for you. It’s certainly not easy for me to write! I’d  much rather tickle people’s ears, and Joel Osteen them with sweet pleasing words! But sometimes God calls us to do what’s unpopular! We are living in times where God is revealing people’s true character! We need to be paying close attention! We don’t, and never have lived in a world where everyone holds hands and sings kumbaya. It’s time to get our heads out of the sand! It’s also important that Christians stay focused on the things of God, which doesn’t always mean being silent!

Listen y’all. Jesus WILL come back for His people! Every day we live on this earth our days are getting shorter! If you are going about your business, doing only what suits you….WAKE UP! Saying a special prayer in Sunday school isn’t enough! Raising your hand to accept Jesus then repeating a prayer isn’t enough! Getting baptized isn’t enough! Getting saved (accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior) is SO much more than just saying yes to Him. This salvation that seems to be so desirable, it’s not just a get out of hell free card!!!

If you truly ask Jesus to come live in your heart, then you should have a desire for the things of Him! You should want to tell people about Him and about what He’s done in your life! THERE SHOULD BE EVIDENCE THAT HE LIVES IN YOUR HEART! I’m not saying you have to be perfect or walk around singing hymns or quoting scripture but, people should see Jesus in your daily living. And hear this! That doesn’t mean that people say you’re a good person! I mean that people should say man he/she sure does love Jesus! Look, if your salvation was merely some sort of emotional experience meaning, once you got up from the altar your life didn’t change, know this! Should Jesus return today you will be left behind!

I read the saddest thing on Facebook last night. It was an article written by a pro-abortion liberal, shared by a young college student. Basically it was accusing Christians of not really being pro-life. You know why they were saying we weren’t really pro-life? Here’s why. Because these young people are so inundated by the world that they think love is this gushy emotion that’s supposed to make everyone feel all giddy. They’ve been filled full of so many lies, straight from the pits of hell, that they think freedom is allowing anything and everything to go on, sitting back and allowing others to self destruct, and that sin is ok so long as it doesn’t have an effect on them. You want my opinion on why they feel this way? I promise, unless you stop reading right now, you’re going to know my opinion! http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/12475464  Read this if you want to see how (some) young people view Christians.

Christians have been way too passive for way too long! We have sat back and been doormats instead of being about our Father’s business. We’ve allowed the world to take over our schools, to raise our children, to sensor our churches. We’ve allowed the government to get so big we work for them instead of them working for us! We’ve gotten exactly what we’ve asked for! We’ve allowed our children to be so spoiled, and allowed their biggest influences to come from government ran schools and tv, and now, most of their views are so jacked up; they’re simply fodder for the enemy! But it’s not just young people mind you! These screwed up ideologies have infiltrated adults as well! I’ve noticed on social media that other Christians will actually scold you for speaking out about political things. I agree that we shouldn’t bash anyone, it’s not Christlike. I also admit that I can get carried away and can lean toward sinning when talking politics. But listen up! Calling evil out for what it is, isn’t bashing! As Christians, we should be standing up for what’s right and defending our beliefs! If you’re not doing that?? Check yourself! And I’m not saying you have to do that on social media, but you’d better be doing it somewhere!

1 Peter 4:14 says this, “When people say bad things to you because you follow Christ, consider it a blessing. When that happens, it shows that God’s Spirit, the Spirit of glory, is with you.” Listen, if you’re a believer and you’re afraid of offending people? I’m going to be very blunt here, y’all ready? Start praying that your Jesus balls drop soon, because you need some spiritual kahunas! We’re living in some evil times and it’s time for God’s people to stop being wimps! Listen. It’s not ok to allow religious freedom when their religion is against every single thing this country was founded on! If you think that’s what religious freedom means, you’re wrong! It’s not ok that when a person commits a string of crimes (even if they’re not violent) then gets shot by a cop, for people to be outraged because he wasn’t doing anything that bad at that moment. It’s not ok that people are sexually immoral and we, as Christians, are so afraid of offending people that we tell them it’s ok. Is that the love of Christ? I don’t think so! It’s not ok that we will sit back and judge a drug addict. It’s not ok to vote for someone who will uphold the practice of abortion. It’s not ok!  There. I said it! Think of me what you will but those things are not ok! Not according to the Bible I read! Not according to the God I serve! The ONE TRUE GOD!

I’m sick and tired of wimpy Christians. I’m sick and tired of us allowing the devil to steal the minds of our young people. Most people have no other choice but to send our children to government schools but, we do have choices about teaching our kids TRUTH at home! And Jesus, God’s Word, and the things of God are the only REAL truth!

Y’all, this world is not as unpredictable as it seems! The Bible spells it out pretty clearly! And yes! We do serve a loving, merciful, forgiving God but, He’s also a just God who hates sin! The Bible spells it out pretty clearly! And if you read God’s Word, when Jesus walked the earth He wasn’t passive! He caused a ruckus! He was loving and didn’t sin but, He most definitely, without fail, always spoke out against sin and took up for the underdog! If you don’t know what God’s Word says about this world, might I suggest you start reading?

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:9-13

I love each of you and I don’t want any of you to be left behind when Jesus comes back for His people! If you have any questions feel free to ask! If I don’t know the answer I’ll find someone who does!

  1. Thank you for speaking the truth in love! God put us here to DO SOMETHING – make disciples of all nations. Love you, girl. I just found out they are going to have the Revive Us movie again next Tursday, so tell anyone you can about it. I think everyone should see it!
